3 of us were out, heading to see the newborn grand-daughter of two members. At a fuel stop, prior to our arrival at our destination, we were approached by a member of a well known M/C, who respectfully brought to our attention that we were in the territory of that M/C.
During this interaction, the M/C member provided information of educational value, to the three of us, regarding specifics of some of the “rules”, so to speak, of the M/C community at large. Most specifically, rules that we were breaking, and pointing out some of the potentially serious consequences that could have followed. Contact information was exchanged, for further interaction.
We continued that evening on to our destination. After arrival there, it was decided to respectfully put our colors to the side, in light of the recent discussions. We rode home that evening, and forward, without our colors, as it was our will and desire to resolve the issues at hand, with the M/C, in a respectful and peaceful manner.
Our discussions among ourselves, about the meeting, were that we were treated with nothing but dignity and respect from the M/C member. As such, we began the process of a re-design of our colors, which we felt would in turn, show the M/C our return of mutual respect.
One of the biggest issues at hand, was that our colors were of a 3 piece design. Efforts would concentrate on changing to a one piece design, while maintaining the critical elements of the design, itself.
